Jane had only just gotten done hanging out with Toby. He was like an older brother, and for that, Jane had never really paid much attention to any boys that she saw. The only guy she really ever knew was Toby and...Andrew. He was from her old school. Jane remembered the boy clearly. He was a popular kid, pretty preppy and she looked back on that and wondered why she ever dated him. It had been eighth grade and that was the time where most girls believed that boys were their whole lives. Unfortunately, Jane had gotten sucked into that too, even though Toby had warned her. Toby had always right about relationships, well to her anyways, and for that, Jane regretted the choice she made in eighth grade. She had been invited to a masquerade party in eighth grade and Andrew was the one holding that party at his house.
Jane had never really been told about his past relationships. After all, it was never really known. However, Andrew had always been a boy to date girls depending on their money situation or their popularity and at the time Jane had been rather popular. Somewhere in the middle of the year, Jane really changed. She dyed her hair black and wore eyeliner, bright, crazy colors, and she loved hello kitty and cute things like that. The only problem? Andrew thought it was too creepy. Of course, during masquerades it is known that you wear a mask and a fancy outfit. Unfortunately for Jane she had gone to get something out of the freezer and when she came back she was taken from behind up to Andrew's room. She was just turning fourteen and she had already lost her virginity to her supposed "boyfriend." Fact? He broke up with her the same night.
Jane had never exactly trusted another boy since that little episode. Toby was the one exception. She didn't want another heartbreak, but after moving on she simply kept the trust thing a big part of a relationship. Jane sighed as she walked across the dusty path towards the lake. She wore a red dress made by Betsey Johnson. It was trimmed with black lace and had cute buttons down the back. On her head she wore a red bow that seemed to stand out well enough against her black hair. Her feet were covered with a pair of white flip flops. A tiny black and white puppy was nestled in the crook of her arm.
She wandered on the path, coming towards the sandy shores. She grinned and sat down, letting Oliver have more of his leash. He bounded towards the water that lapped at his little paws. It was really adorable..

Maybe I'm to blame Or maybe were the same But either way I can’t breathe Either way I can’t breathe
Jaden sighed, closing his eyes as he sat on the warm beach. It was warm, sunny outside... Just a perfect, beautiful day... But, inside, Jaden was so sad. He felt his cold, ice like heart begin to crack and break, shatter into tiny pieces. The image and the actions ran vidily through his mind, but he just wanted it to stop.
Two years pier; Jaden sighed, getting a phone call from Regan, his lover. He so didn't want to get up and leave Isabella home with his mom tonight. He just had a horrible feeling in his gut. And, guess what, he had to go to the bad part of town. Oh, yes, the badest part, filled with murders and rapest of all the sorts. It was just some place you don't want to get stuck in, and Regan was, car and all.
He got into his black volvo, a car he just loved to death, which he appreciated and just over all loved. He decided, instead of sending someone else to help, he'd just go. It was his lover after all.
Pulling up, Jaden smiled when he saw her. She was just so damn beautiful. Her blonde hair, blue eyes... Just over all beautiful. Not just on the outside, but the inside too. He ran a hand through his hair, getting out and locking his car before going to her, sighing. "What happend?" he ask, putting a hand on her hip. Sighing, Regan looked to him. "It's inside this deep pot hole and I can't get it out. Please push it out? I can't leave it here..." Giving a nod, Jaden began to push to car to get it out of the hole.
The car was finally free after about fifteen minutes. He was tired, but he could just sense the happiness. " "All right baby girl, let's get home," he said, but just then everything was in a quick, fast forward movement. Two large, beat and bruised men came from the dark alleys, cracking their knuckles. Jaden still couldn't remember the words, but they were foul, horrible. Next thing he knew, there was blood everywhere. Both him and his lover were beat. He slowly pulled her to him, almost about to be unconsious. "If we die... Remember I love you... And, just stay near me... I wouldn't want to die without you near me..." Regan gave a small smile, nodding before both him and her were out cold, unconsious.
Jaden groaned, waking to a bright sunlight. Looking around, he smiled, seeing his mom and dad. "Oh my little Jay!" his mother said as she stood, hugging him. "Are you okay?" Nodding, he looked to her. "Yeah, yeah... Where's Regan?" he looked around, their faces losing a smile. "Jaden, hun... She... She passed away about two months ago... Right after the accident..." Her face was full of sorrow, sadness, tears running down her face. Jaden froze, face blank. How could this happen? Losing his lover, his want-to-be wife when they were both eighteen. She was gone, completly. Later, his mother explained how they didn't give her blood quick enough and lost her. She also explained how Jaden had been in a coma the whole time. Though, everything just seemed a blur after that. Everything just crashed, after one night.
Present; Jaden bit his bottom lip, tears filling his lip, shaking them away. Two years later and he still can't accept it. The two men were arrested and were sentenced to the death penalty. Pain remained in him though, but it made him happy. His daughter looked almost just like her, except she had Jaden's light blue eyes.
Looking around the beach, he sighed. When was some here to talk to this about when you needed to the most?

Jane was caught up with untangling Oliver's leash from around her body. "Ollie, if you want me to trip and fall while trying to get up, could you at least do it when we're not in public?" she giggled softly. The red rope left a few marks on her legs, but nothing that bad. As soon as she was untangled, she looked down at her dress. Beneath it was a black bikini with miniature, white skulls and hearts. She had bought everything at Betsey Johnson. It was her shopping spree a few weeks ago. She did those types of things now. Before, Jane had always been reduced to staying in her room listening to music otherwise she would've been downstairs sleeping in the basement. After all, that's where she usually slept. The basement, and I mean the whole thing, had been transformed into Jane's ultimate bedroom. It was huge and it even had a basement and you could get outside from there. It was great, for her anyways.
After Jane had the incident with her old boyfriend, she became even more shy. She couldn't face most of the kids in her school, which is why she came to Shadowridge. None of the old kids would be coming here because this school was more exclusive than others. It's a private school anyways. Jane sighed and didn't realize that Oliver had spotted a little girl. He loved people, but he was the best with children. It was a moment too late after the leash slipped from her lap and he darted towards the girl. Jane moaned for only a second before putting her sunglasses back on and darting after the dog. She left her flip flops and her belongings on the sand where she was sitting. "Oliver!" she called. Her voice was quiet, but she was amazing when she ran. All the running she did in junior high and freshman year was finally paying off. She caught up with the dog, but it seemed the little girl had beaten her to it.
She hoped she wasn't allergic or anything. She looked around to see if there was anyone with the girl. And then she caught it. Or him, really. Her eyes focused on a dark-haired boy with the most amazing eyes anyone had ever seen. He was amazing in her eyes. While she was completely freaking out, he was just standing there and he was gorgeous. She was a bit panicky and she turned her gaze. She was so nervous around boys after what happened with Andrew. Everyone in that city pretty much knew what happened if you grew up near that school or you were in that school. News traveled fast, and Jane's history didn't stop that from happening. She kneeled down to the girl's height and smiled. "This is Oliver," she said softly, watching as her puppy bounded in circles.

The dark haired boy heard someone scream the name 'Oliver', then watched as a dog came right at Isabella. Oh god, he hoped the dog wouldn't tackle her or anything. Jesus, he'd be done for... Especially since Isabella was so tiny and such. When the dog arrived, her smiled as Isabella giggled, petting the dog. She was such an animal fanatic, he didn't think there wasn't one animal she didn't like. Hell, she loved spiders and bugs even! The ugliest of animals and the most beautiful. He had spent so much money on her to give her stuff animals which surround her room and bed, an animal haven. But, one animal in particular she loved and always carried with her. The animal was a small, beat up teddy bear. Regan had given it to her when she was first born, and Isabella cried her eyes out if she lost it or it wasn't with her. So, she got in trouble a lot at daycare for not sharing her bear. Hell, Jaden told the teacher to leave her alone, that she could hold onto her bear if she wanted to.
Isabella held her bear close, smiling as the girl came up, speaking to her. "Oliver," she said in her small, sweet little voice, petting the puppy more, looking to the dog. "Daddy! Look at the doggy!" Jaden grinned, going to her, kneeling and smiling as he stroked the dog, kissing Isabella's cheek. "Yeah, he's cute," he said before standing, looking to Jane with a smile.
Jaden had seen her before... She went to his school, didn't she? Her name started with a... What was it? Oh, yes, a J! Jenny... Janie... Jane! Jane was her name! She definatly went to his school, he just knew it. "Hey... You're Jane, right?" He smiled, looking to her. "I like your dog... I think Isabella likes him too." Just like Isabella, he shared a love for animals. The love both he and isabella shared for them is what bonded them so closely. That's why he could always be able to connect with his sweet, innocent little girl.
Looking to Jane, what he belived her name to be, he smiled. She was beautiful... Her black hair was so amazing, her eyes... She looked beautiful, which is something jaden hardly ever saw anymore...
Adjusting his plain black tee shirt, Jaden bit his bottom lip, looking down to the black swin trunk he warm. God, he wanted to swim, but Isabella was playing with sand for now. He'd get her in to water, soon. Running a hand through his black hair, he sighed. How could he make a real conversation?

Jane smiled when the little girl repeated Oliver's name. Her eyes were fixed on the girl, watching her every move. She apparently loved dogs. Jane sat down on the sand, her legs folded as she watched Oliver squirm and lick the little girl. Her smile faded slightly when she called her...father? FATHER?! Jane watched the boy move over to them. She had seen him at school and this was the boy she had admired from afar. She didn't know his name, but she passed him a lot and during lunch, she would sit alone and stare at him, never did he notice, or maybe he did, but he didn't know her. In class, she was the silent, smart one. She'd watch him from across the room. Jane didn't realize any of this until the little girl said daddy. Jane felt her heart crack. Oh. she thought to herself right now. This was terrible. If she had known he must've been married already. She grumbled quietly to herself, but stared quietly.
She noticed him kneeling down near them and she felt her hands shake slightly. She kept her eyes on Oliver, her black hair hiding part of her face. She didn't want him to know about her. She didn't want him to know that she wrote his name all over her notebooks or inside of them. She sketched him sometimes since he sat a few rows over and in the front so whenever he turned his head she could catch glimpses of him. This isn't happening. she thought to herself. This was definitely a frightening feeling since she didn't know this boy. She felt like a stalker now and that was definitely not a good feeling, especially when the boy you were stalking had a daughter. She smiled down at the little girl, keeping her focus everywhere except the boy. She looked over, noticing his smile. Thanks, he seems to really like you," she said barely above a whisper.
He said his name and it echoed through her ears over and over again. She felt so strange. This was amazing. She gave him a sheepish smile. "Yeah, Jaden, righ?" she asked softly. She felt her lip tremble a bit and she bit on it, feeling her lip ring. She was silent, stroking Oliver still. This kid was so adorable, how could she be so stupid to think he wouldn't have a girlfriend already.

Jaden looked to her, her shaking hands, her held back trembling lip... Was she okay? Was she going to get sick? He watched as the dog, Oliver, and his daughter played. "Hey, baby girl, go play near your sand castle, and let daddy and Jane talk?" Isabella looked to her father, smiling and nodding, skipping off to the small sand castle, the dog following, them playing.
After Isabella had left the two alone, Jaden looked to Jane, taking a hold of her shaking hands, putting them in his. "Hey, are you all right? You're shaking... Do you need some water or something?" He smiled, reaching over to a bottle of water he had, handing it to her. "Water??" he asked, handing it towards her. Mainl, he was trying to get her to speak more... Was she shocked that he had a kid? Was she upsetted by it? He really didn't know...
Time to time, Jaden would look to her, just stare and admire her beauty... But, not a lot. He always looked to her while she had a notebook or sketch book open and she was either writting or doodling. He always wanted to ask her what she was writting or drawing... But, really, he never had the guts to, ever. I guess you could say he was being his old, usual paranoid self. But, hey, did it really matter so much? No, but he still yearned to know what she was like, besides the quiet and smart girl.
Jaden opend the bottle of water, the air escaping it since it was just now opend. He was just trying to be polite tothis amazing looking girl, as nice as he could. So, why not start a conversation? "Anyways... I see you around a lot, yet know nothing... Tell me about yourself. What do you like, dislike, and uhm... Relationship things. I mean, if you're single or not." Well, this would be a rather fancy conversation.
For some reason Jaden just knew Jane would probably have a boyfriend. How couldn't she? She was amazingly beautiful, smart, and he's seen her be funny time to time. He knows she's not completly quiet. But, yeah...
Looking to her, he waited for a reply, sitting and sloutching slightly, running a hand through his hair. It was a habit, a huge one.

Jane felt so stupid with her shaking hands and her nervousness. What was there to be nervous about? It was only a guy and it wasn't like he was a serial killer or something...otherwise he wouldn't be at the school. Jane was just too afraid with her life and trusting guys was too hard for her these days. She had become so afraid and seclusive now that if she bumped into a guy or one came too close she would yelp, but today seemed to be a bit different. This was her crush, after all, and he obviously wasn't one to make her yelp in fear or become too startled. No, her body resorted to shaking and she really wished it wouldn't. She was so confused with her life these days. Everything seemed to scare her, but she couldn't move on. Jane was just...terrified. This world, this life, and the people around her were the scariest things she could imagine at the time. She watched and listened to him send the little girl away.
Jane's eyes followed the little toddler as she happily went back to playing with the sand castle before Oliver interrupted. She dropped her gaze, focusing on Ollie's black and white tail waving back and forth, fanning her legs and the sand. She flinched when he took her hand, becoming slightly stiff. Jane relaxed after a few moments. It took her some time, but she was calming down. It was just...hard on her. After everything she had been through with Andrew, Jane didn't want to deal with it anymore so she was a bit unresponsive to others. "Y-yeah, I'm fine," she responded quietly. He handed her water and she took it, but apprehensively. She tilted the bottle towards her lips and took a waterfall from his bottle. The cool liquid trickled down her throat and she swallowed it before handing the bottle back with the lid twisted back on. Her shaking stopped, but she still got a weird feeling in her stomach.
"Thanks," she said, giving a small grin, but it faded. She felt stupid for not talking that much, but what was there to say? If he could start a conversation, she would talk, but she wasn't good at starting things. Jane was just...Jane. Her eyes came up off the ground and somehow, she was lost in his bright, blue orbs. They were amazing and how could anyone not want them? He was definitely beyond describable. This boy was gorgeous and above. Nobody, in Jane's perspective, in the right mind would never like this kid. She sighed quietly. She perked up slightly when he mentioned seeing her around a lot. Good, so at least he knew she existed, even if she did stare at him constantly throughout the day. She wished she could show him her drawing of the side of his head, since that's all she really got. She wanted her teacher to switch seats around soon.
"Oh, I...um...I like drawing. But I mean, I really like to sing and play Guitar Hero and I like bright colors and hello kitty, and skelanimals, and makeup and stuff. Photography's amazing too." She smiled softly and looked out at the water. "Relationship? Uhm...I, well, I-I'm single...I have been since eighth grade," she said barely above a whisper. That lost part brought a tear out of her eye and it dropped down her cheek. "I have..trust..issues," she pointed out quietly. She missed having a boy at her side, but Andrew just killed off her self-esteem. "What about you?" she trembled quietly.
