It had been an eventful day for Alizah. She rose early in the morning, finding herself surprisingly not tired. Usually when Ali woke up, she would be so tired, that she couldn't manage to drag her lazy body out of bed. But for some strange reason she wasn't aware of, she was perfectly energized and ready to go. Her hair was a mess, she had horrible morning hair. It was literally all over the place, and she absolutely hated it. She stepped in the shower to find that the water was already warm. This surprised her, yet again, usually it took at least three good minutes for the water to warm up enough to her liking. She gladly stepped in, and the water was still warm. Ali wasn't the one to be superstitious, but two good things had happened to her so far, and the day had hardly even began. As her old friend, Tiffany, would say, 'Ali, it's a sign!' Sure Ali didn't believe in good or bad luck, she just believed in karma. Sometimes karma could be a real bitch. Do something so miniscule out of character, and it would come back and bite you in the ass.
Hopping out of the shower, she wrapped her warm fuzzy purple towel around her small frame. She inhaled the water vapor and her sinuses were instantly cleared. She skipped gracefully into her bedroom, wondering where her roommate was. Usually she was the one to sleep it, but apparently not today. Ali dried herself, picked out her clothes for today, which was this outfit, so as you can imagine, Ali wanted some sunshine. She really loved the dress that she'd picked out for the day. She was pretty much in love with that color blue. As for Ali's hair, she let it air dry and put in a few bobby pins and called it good. Applying some eyeliner and light foundation she was ready to go.
She glanced out of her window, and she saw the rays of sunshine shine on her floor. She smiled widely, and grabbed her trusty camera. She grabbed one last thing, her big sunglasses, of course, and headed out the door. Being some what of an outdoors' girl, Ali loved to walk. She was also a pretty big humanitarian, and didn't like to drive in cars as much as the next person. She believed that everyone should 'go green,' and save our planet.
After a good forty-five minutes of walking, and occasionally snapping photos, she found herself at the courtyard Ali absolutely loved the place, it was so serene, and calm, so peaceful, so just overall beautiful. Ali griped her camera tight in her hands, and took a picture of the grassy landscapes and the rays of the sunlight. While looking through the lens of the camera, she saw someone down aways. She swore it was someone that she knew, she just couldn't put her finger on it. By the body structure, she could tell it was a guy. She skipped down to the location, and still couldn't make out a definite face. Her head automatically tilted slightly to the left, and she walked a few steps closer. Once she was a good twenty feet behind them, she finally figured out who the 'mystery man' was. She smiled at the result of her little investigation. "Oliver!" she called out, literally running up behind him.
As a result of Ali's small-ish body frame, it was hard for her to stop running after she'd gotten a good start. She felt the strap around her neck from the camera slide behind her, so that her camera was hitting her back as she was running, and as a result, Ali collided right into Oliver's back, almost knocking both of them flat on the ground. She caught herself behind him, and instantly hoped that she didn't just like piss him off of anything. "Hiii." she whispered into his ear, suddenly feeling all sorts of memories and emotions come rushing back to her. All good memories, but some confused emotions.

Despite the fact that a good majority of his possessions were still at his mother's house, Oliver had awoken on the tattered bed in the relatively empty room he'd begun to inhabit at his best friend's apartment. Though it was smaller than any he'd ever lived in before, the room had seemed almost cavernous today and he wished he'd had the sense to grab his guitar before he'd left the other day. He'd have to wait, however, until a time when Marianna and Dominic weren't home because really, if they wanted to, they could force him from leaving. Needless to say, that was the last thing that Oliver wanted to happen because the idea of spending another night there was almost overwhelming. Somewhere along the line, the disdain and irritation he had felt for his new living situation had surpassed that which he had found manageable and he wondered if perhaps they were the real reason why he had become the kind of person he was now.
Oliver shook his head and tried to physically force the thoughts from his head. The truth was that he doubted there was a chance this would actually happen, but it was worth a shot if it had the potential to not leave him feeling miserable the rest of the day. He pushed the thin blankets off himself and sat up, the sunlight that peeked from around the edge of the dark curtains caught in his eyes and made him blink. He hoped it wasn't too late. He'd forgotten to plug in his alarm clock the night before and really the last thing he needed was to be late for school. His grades were pretty decent, but that still didn't mean that he was above punishment and this would lead to a detention if he didn't get there before attendance was taken.
As he made his way into the small bathroom that rested in between the two bedrooms of the apartment, Oliver snatched up a few articles of clothing here and there, hoping that whatever they were would complete an outfit and match at least a little. He'd take a shower and get dressed and then spend his walk to school crossing his fingers that he was on-time. He was rushing, of course, and even after a shower his hair was a frightful mess that seemed to have no intention of sitting flat and behaving, but as far as he was concerned it was a sacrifice he would have to make just in case. Better messy hair than spending his afternoon in detention. He had to work, after all, if he wanted to keep the room he had so recently taken over. Andrew could afford it himself and had been for a while, but the fact was that neither liked freeloaders and Oliver refused to be one so soon into their new arrangement.
When he did finally make it to the school (after having to retrieve a shirt to go with the two pairs of pants he'd accidentally snagged), he stopped dead in his tracks on the grass and frowned. He was either too early or far too late for the campus seemed empty, as if there'd never been students there at all. He wondered if perhaps he had the wrong day and maybe it was actually Saturday and he had done all this for nothing, but he didn't have much time to dwell on that idea. There was a voice behind him and he heard his name before something small and soft smacked into his back and threw him forward. He caught his balance just before toppling, however, and turned to find himself face to face with Alizah Alison. The scowl that had begun to form slowly started to slip away, a slight smile slipping in to take its. On the bright side, he thought for a moment, if he had detention at least he'd have someone fun to waste the time with.
"Hey," Oliver said as he took a small step back to put a bit more distance in between them. They were almost nose to nose and he cursed the fact that this tiny girl was only an inch shorter than he was. He glanced around, taking in their surroundings, but the absence of people was still overwhelmingly obvious. "Are we really early or insanely late?" he finally asked as he turned his gaze back to her. He felt like an idiot for asking but even after plugging his alarm in, he had no idea what time it actually was since the flashing numbers did nothing but remind him that perhaps it was something he should have thought of before. Andrew's door had been locked, so he'd just gone and hoped for the best.
"Is it Saturday, maybe? I didn't think so because we didn't have the entire building in our apartment drinking all our liquor last night, but I guess they could have needed a break," he added with a slightly hopeful face (though the entire time he was honestly thinking he was kind of an idiot). Saturday, of course, would be the preferable option, but he doubted that would be the case. After all, what would bring Ali to the school on a weekend, even if she did have her camera? There were far better places in the city to take pictures than Shadowridge High School and you didn't need to be a photographer to know that.
