Landon threw his book bag on a table, unintentionally resulting in a large bang, whose sounds seemed to echo throughout the large library. After hearing some “ohs!” and exclamations of shock, he watched as people turned their heads to look at him. But he wasn’t embarrassed, he didn’t care. Just hopefully one of the librarians had not seen or heard him. He didn’t want to get thrown out. He set down and thrust his book open. Usually, he wouldn’t be alone like this, but most of his guy friends didn’t give about their grades and most of his girls friends were the same. But Landon was different; he knew that he had to keep his grades up. Besides needing to keep his GPA up for sports, there was also something about him that made him want to feel smart. It was a competition of some sort. And anyways, it was a report in English, he was good at that. Landon was gifted at writing and found it easy. He’d be done with this in a good ten minutes.
He glanced up, daring to look around to see if people were still staring at him. Most people had gone back to whatever they were doing. And so far, so good; no librarian. If he were to get thrown out, it wouldn’t be the first time…and that usually was bad since Landon was the type of guy that didn’t take no for an answer. but he just didn’t want to. At home he got to distracted and couldn’t focus, he start texting or something like that. Not good.
Sighing as he pulled out his pen and put it to the paper, and began to write. But he discovered he was at a writers block…even in a stupid English project. He glanced up again and realized that he was amongst strangers. He didn’t even know anyone here, although they probably all knew him. And all of the sudden he had the desire to get up and leave, or at least talk to someone. He pulled out his phone to look at his contacts
